Steve Kendall has always had a passion for the arts.
He began collecting paintings in the early 1980s, along with first edition
books and golf ephemera. His enthusiasm rubbed off on his son Matt, who
in 1991 graduated from Cornell University with a double major in English
and History of Art. In 2003 Steve retired from business, and Matt sold
his successful advertising agency. Together the father and son opened
Kendall Fine Art in the Spring of 2004.
Today, Kendall Fine Art has become The Kendall Collection, the name
change being an outward expression of the gallery's new focus as private
dealers specializing in important paintings.
The Kendall Collection works with beginning and experienced collectors,
museums, corporations, art consultants, interior designers and other
dealers to develop and enhance important collections. In addition to
purchases and sales, The Kendall Collection offers clients a myriad of
services that include curatorial services, appraisals, investment analysis,
conservation referral, frame selection and referral, art handling consultation
and more.
The Kendall Collection is always interested in purchasing or receiving
on consignment important works of art.
